Why enter the ASAP Serviced Apartment Industry Awards?

Hearing the words "AND THE WINNER IS. . . ." followed by their name should be on everyone's 'to do' list . . .

Winning an award is exhilarating, and while most of us will never stand on stage to collect an Oscar or perform a teary acceptance speech, business awards offer the chance to shine and be rewarded just the same!

The 2020 ASAP Serviced Apartment Industry awards enables celebration of excellence at individual, team and corporate levels regardless of size or geographical location in the global serviced apartment, corporate housing, aparthotel and extended stay sectors.
Knowing that YOUR company is the best it can be is immensely
rewarding and is good for business too!

Awards are not easy to come by; it takes time, thought and focus to submit an award but there are many great reasons to enter:

Raise your Company Profile
It is an opportunity to raise your profile and be recognised as a leader and innovator in your field as well as highlighting innovative working practices to the industry from those who are providing exceptional products and services.

Who can enter?

Each award has certain criteria so please check the entry pack found on this page HERE and the ASAP categories HERE for further information.

We welcome and encourage entries from all companies from small independent companies through to global players in the sector regardless of geographical location.

Companies that enter should be from the serviced apartment, aparthotel, corporate stay, extended stay and short-term accommodation rental industry.

The ASAP Serviced Apartment Industry Awards are a global awards programme and entries are welcome from companies regardless of location.

We have not entered the awards before. What do we do?

Choose which category or categories that you wish to enter. Consider which criteria fits closest with your organisation.

Read the entry requirements and guidance and follow the instructions on how to compile your entry.

Complete all sections of the entry form and upload supporting evidence documents as required. Submit your entry form and any supporting documents 5pm on Friday 21st February 2020  HERE

We are a small independent company, can we enter?

Absolutely!  We welcome and encourage companies of all sizes to enter the awards as the benefits of entering (see HERE) apply to everyone regardless of size.

Do we need to be an ASAP member to enter the ASAP Serviced Apartment Industry Awards?

We welcome entries from non members for the following Award Categories:

SME Marketing Award
Corporate Marketing Award
Industry Impact Award
Sustainability Award
Industry Newcomer Award

Entries are open to those companies within the serviced apartment, the aparthotel, corporate housing or extended stay sector.

What period of activity do the awards cover?

Unless otherwise stated entries should reflect work undertaken since 1st September 2018 to date.

What type of award should we apply for?

Ensure that you apply for an award that accurately reflects your organisation.

For example, if your business has less than 50 employees you would not enter the  Corporate Business of the Year Award. Select the SME category. Two years accounts are required only for the Business of the Year Awards.

Note: There is no limit to the amount of categories you can enter, however each company can only submit one entry per category.

How do I enter?

Entry is simple and consistent. All entries will be submitted via the
awards platform online and will follow the same format of submission.

Where can I find the Terms and Conditions?

Can I submit supporting documentation?

Yes - we welcome the submission of concise supporting documentation.

The judges welcome succinct, relevant supporting materials. All relevant information should be included within the online application. Only supporting documentation and information provided via the online portal will be considered within the judging process. Please note there is an upload limit of 5mb and videos included as part of supporting evidence should not exceed 2 minutes in length.

If our application is successful what will our award be?

The winners will be announced at the Summer Gala Dinner & Industry Awards Presentation.  Should you win an award you will receive a trophy, if you do not win and you have been shortlisted, you will receive a certificate with special commendations from the judging panel.

Companies that are shortlisted to reach the final stages of judging will be provided with a "Finalist" logo.

Logos will also be provided to those who receive the Highly Commended award and to the Winner of each category.  These will be provided post announcement of the stages of judging and after the Gala Dinner Evening.

Can we resubmit our entries from previous years with updated collateral?

You can certainly re-submit previously written submissions but be mindful that our criteria may have changed.  Each entry will be marked on its merit, so please read these closely and ensure that your previous entries adhere to these requirements. Of course, the submission should be relevant to the date we are evaluating, i.e. since 1st September 2018 – to date.

The criteria requires submission of sensitive/confidential data, can we be certain these documents will remain private?

Yes, you can rest assured all entries and supporting materials will be treated with the strictest confidence by our judges, ASAP is registered under Data Protection (registration number ZA184759)  and can confirm that inline with such policies once our deliberations have been completed all documents will be destroyed.

When will I find out if I have won?

The winners and finalists will be announced on the evening of 18th June 2020 at the Awards Ceremony within the ASAP Gala Dinner at the Summer Ball.  Details about the event can be found on this link HERE

Will feedback be provided for every entry?

No – the judges will not automatically provide feedback on each entry, successful or not.
